Not all those who wander are lost
Come hungry. Leave with a story.
Tapas with a twist and drinks with attitude in the heart of Santa Catalina. Big tables, plates in the middle, zero protocol — BEN decides how many rounds.
The north
Same search, new chapter.
Buscando el Norte landed in Santa Catalina chasing the same thing as always: tables that say yes. Same soul, new hands, planted in the heart of the neighborhood. Here, north isn't on the map — it's the table you booked, the party of thirteen nobody else would seat, that extra round no one ordered but everyone wanted. You walk in hungry. The barrio brings the mood. We bring the table. The rest of the night, you write yourself.

Before you book
Everything sorted before you sit down.
Do I need to book a table at Buscando el Norte?
Midweek you'll usually find a table, but weekends fill up fast. Book online in two taps with instant confirmation and no prepayment — no forms that vanish on the way. For a Saturday, book before Thursday.
How late is the kitchen open in Santa Catalina?
We're one of the later closers in the neighbourhood: Mon–Thu 16:00–01:00 and Fri–Sun 13:00–01:30. The kitchen runs until midnight midweek and 00:30 at weekends, so a late dinner is never a problem.
Are you open on Sundays?
Yes. Sundays we open from midday, 13:00–01:30, same as Friday and Saturday. And because we don't close between lunch and dinner, you can eat at any hour in between.
Where do the locals actually eat in Santa Catalina?
Right on Carrer de Sant Magí 58, a minute from the Mercat de Santa Catalina. Big shared tables, plates in the middle, zero protocol — proper local tapas with a twist, not tourist tapas.
Can you seat a big group?
Big tables are our thing — everything comes out to share. More than 6 of you? Call us on +34 930 46 40 27 and we'll set it up.
What kind of tapas do you serve?
Tapas with a twist, made for sharing: oxtail croquettes, flambéed octopus, red-tuna tataki, ceviche, tacos — plus paellas for two or more. Come hungry, leave with a story.
